What we liked
- + UL rated 1-A:10-B:C for wood, paper, trash, plastics, gasoline, oil and electrical-equipment fires.
- + All-metal construction with a metal valve and trigger and a color-coded, corrosion-resistant metal gauge.
- + Can be recharged by a certified professional after use, and is U.S. Coast Guard approved for marine use.
Trade-offs
- - Sold as a single unit, so covering both the garage and a vehicle means buying more than one.
- - The 1-A:10-B:C rating is the basic home size, smaller than the 3-A:40-B:C units in this guide.
